Jorge Miguel García

"My passion for cars and art, which both started in childhood, brought me further than I’ve ever dreamed. What started out 25 years ago as a party, was transformed into a way of life. I enjoyed creating every part of my work. "

Jorge Miguel García was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1951. He started his career at the age of 16 in his hometown and worked for important companies and agencies. In 1983 he began to work with Road & Track, Motor 16 in Spain and Marlboro. This collaboration enabled him to become an internationally renowned artist. For Marlboro, he painted the history of F1, which is on a permanent exhibition at the JM Fangio Museum. In 1986, he received three awards and a gold prize at the Los Angeles Society of Illustrators for Road & Track.

García continues to work with sports sponsors from many countries and a large magazine for Argentinean automotive history and history F1. In 1997, he exhibited at the Pebble Beach Concurs D'Elegance in California, and in 1995, 1998 and 2002, in the Meadow Brook Hall Concurs D'Elegance in Michigan, for which he received two awards of excellence. He also won the second prize at the Gran Prix Sportique in London.

His works are on display in corporate and museum collections in Argentina, USA, Europe, Uruguay, Paraguay, Puerto Rico ...
