Jorge Miguel García

Jorge Miguel García (born 1951) is an Argentine artist and illustrator internationally recognised for his contribution to automotive art. Born in Buenos Aires, he began his professional career at the age of sixteen, creating illustrations for leading companies and advertising agencies in Argentina.

His passion for both automobiles and art began in childhood and has remained the driving force behind his career. In 1983, he started collaborating with internationally renowned publications and brands, including Road & Track, Spain's Motor 16, and Marlboro. For Marlboro, he created The History of Formula 1, a series of paintings that is permanently exhibited at the Juan Manuel Fangio Museum in Argentina. In 1986, his work for Road & Track earned him three awards and a Gold Medal from the Los Angeles Society of Illustrators.

Although motorsport and Formula 1 have been central themes throughout his career, García has always had a particular passion for classic automobiles. His paintings combine historical accuracy with vibrant colour, dramatic lighting, and a remarkable sense of movement, capturing both the engineering and artistic beauty of iconic vehicles. In addition to fine art, he has produced illustrations, posters for major motorsport events, and automotive advertising artwork.

His work has been exhibited at some of the world's most prestigious automotive events, including the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance in California, the Meadow Brook Hall Concours d'Elegance in Michigan, Rétromobile in Paris, International Motoring Art exhibitions, and Salon del Diseño. His achievements include a Gold Medal in 1986 and Awards of Excellence in 1998 and 2002. In 2002, one of his paintings was presented to Michael Schumacher in recognition of his fifth Formula One World Championship.

Today, Jorge Miguel García's works can be found in numerous private, corporate, and museum collections across Argentina, the United States, Europe, Uruguay, Paraguay, Puerto Rico, and many other countries. Renowned for their vivid colours, historical authenticity, and dynamic compositions, his paintings have established him as one of the leading contemporary artists in the field of automotive art.
