Snežana Markulin

Snežana Markulin (born 9 January 1966) is a Serbian artist based in Ljubljana, Slovenia. She was born in Belgrade, where she graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in 1989, establishing the foundation for her artistic career.

She began her professional journey in the construction industry, specialising in furniture design and decoration, where she developed a strong understanding of materials, form, and visual aesthetics. She is also one of the co-founders of Artipolis Studio in Belgrade, a creative space that brings together artists and designers from various disciplines.

In 2004, Markulin expanded her creative practice into paper engineering and graphic design for the confectionery industry. During the same period, she became involved in classic car restoration projects, where she developed a lasting passion for historic automobiles. The craftsmanship, design, and timeless elegance of classic cars continue to inspire her artistic work.

Today, Snežana Markulin lives and works in Ljubljana, Slovenia, while remaining an active member of Artipolis Studio in Belgrade. Her work reflects the combination of fine art, design, and automotive heritage, resulting in a distinctive artistic approach characterised by careful attention to detail, composition, and visual storytelling.
